The Raiders battled to the very end on Friday in their State Championship game and got the go ahead run to the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning, but fell just short 3 - 1 to a very good Beecher team. Raider Nation is SO PROUD! Coach Roberts would like to thank Raider Nation for showing up big for the boys on Friday. They were awesome! It is a definitely a season he will never forget. He also wants to wish the players the best of luck in their upcoming winter sports season.

There were MANY people that went above and beyond for the Boys Baseball Team journey to the State Tournament! We would like to give a little extra THANKS to Mrs. Matthews (principal), Mrs. Mattson (athletic director), Mrs. Ramme (transportation director), and Ms. Danner (middle school head cook) for their planning, assistance, and extra time worked this past week to help make the middle school state experience so great for our students.

Once again it was a great day to be a MS XC Running Raider!  100% of our runners that ran today set personal bests for the season. Some beat their best time by minutes today. The weather was just right for running.  I was truly amazed and proud on how well the team ran today. One parent thought I had a tear in my eye at end of the race. Could have been but I'm not saying either way. Below are their places, times, and how much their time today beat their best for the year so far.  Next Friday the team travels to Bloomington to compete in their IESA Sectionals. Jaina Butler placed 72nd with a time of 14:03 - :30 faster Alice Brackney placed 107th with a time of 15:07 - 1:30 faster Kennedy Prather placed 139th with a time of 20:38 - 2:27 faster Reid Sidders placed 120th with a time of 14:40 - :50 faster Carson Campbell placed 121st with a time of 14:41 - 1:11 faster Ashton Campbell placed 131st with a time of 16:23 - 1:31 faster Tyler Vanderwulp placed 132nd with a time of 16:45 - :56 faster Noa Stage placed 135th with a time of 16:56 - :54 faster Liam Tumility placed 141st with a time of 18:57 - :56 faster

The MS Running Raiders competed today at Alpha Park in Bartonville. The meet was the largest meet they will run in this season. The course was probably the 2nd hardest course they have ran on this year. They did not disappoint me or others watching them today. Many set personal best times for the season on a challenging course. Jaina Butler ran her best time of the year with a time of 14:33.5, placing 62nd. Alice Brackney placed 116th with a time of 18:08.2. Ruby Wade ran her best time of the year with a time of 20:33.1, placing 131st. Kennedy Prather also ran her best time of the year with a time of 23:05.1, placing 138th. Reid Sidders ran a time of 15:50.6, placing 110th. Carson Campbell ran his best time of the year with a time of 15:52.9, placing 111th. Noa Stage ran a time of 17:59.4, giving him a 122nd place finish. KonLee Ashby ran a time of 18:33.5 for a 126th place finish. Tyler Vanderwulp ran a time of 20:05.5 for a 130th place finish. Liam Tumility ran his best time of the year with a time of 20:32.7, placing 133rd. The Running Raiders finish their 3 meet week on Saturday at the Delavan Dare Classic.

The 7th grade Lady Raiders continued to dominate the defensive side of the ball on Tuesday evening by holding their second consecutive opponent under 10 points in a game! They jumped out to a comfortable 17-5 lead at halftime, then pressed the gas pedal to the floor in the second half as they cruised to a 42-8 victory over Limestone Walters. There were THIRTEEN girls in the scoring column with Tenley, Peyton and Zoey leading the way with 6 points each. The 8th grade Lady Raiders were once again hot out of the gate with their defensive pressure and offensive strikes taking an early 20-5 lead going into halftime. Their work was not done as they continued to make things very difficult for Limestone on both sides of the court taking this home opener victory by a score of 37-12. Kenzie led all Raiders with 15 points and Julia added some hard-nosed points in the paint with 12. The Raiders have their second home game this Thursday as they take on Dee-Mack at 5:30pm!

Another great day to be a Raider! Almost every one of our runners set a PR (personal record) for our home course today.  We celebrated Ashton Campbell today during our 8th grade recognition night. Jaina Butler led the girls team today with a new home course record.  Jaina placed 2nd overall with a time of 14:53.9.  Alice Brackney an impressive time of 16:37.84 for 6th place. Ruby Wade continues to improve her time by running a 21:45.24 and placing 9th place.  Kennedy Prather also continues to get better as the season progresses. Kennedy ran a time of 24:22.75 for a 11th place finish.  Reid Sidders and Carson Campbell battled to the finish with Reid edging Carson for a 7th place finish and a time of 15:57.8.  Carson placed 8th with a time of 15:58.34. Ashton Campbell sprinted to the finish and passed a competitor at the end for a time of 18:03.06, which was good for 10th place.  Tyler Vanderwulp ran a steady race and placed 12th with a time of 18:05.15.  Noa Stage ran well today and placed 13th with a time of 18:29.52. KonLee Ashby improves each meet and placed 14th with a time of 18:53.81. Liam Tumility ran a good race today and placed 16th with a time of 21;28.09. The Raiders run next on Thursday at Bartonville.
