Scholarship Opportunity for MCHS Graduates!
Manito-Forest City Rotary Club is offering scholarships to MCHS graduates that have completed at least 24 credit hours and 1 year at a university/college with a GPA of 2.5 or higher OR completed one year of instruction at a certified trade school. We are excited to announce that our fall musical will be "Shrek The Musical!" Auditions will be held in August after school begins and will be open to all freshmen through seniors. We look forward to seeing you at auditions in the fall! Show dates are October 23, 24, and 25. Musical directors are Susan Frank and Heather Burks.
We will use the Band app for important dates and announcements throughout the summer and fall. Any student that is interested in the MCHS musical may join our Band app group either through the QR code that is posted at the high school or at this website address: https://band.us/n/a9a5A0p628a18. There are a couple of theater groups in the area that are performing "Shrek" this summer. We will get the information to you via the Band app.

The Midwest Central Boys Track team finished out their season at the Dee-Mack Sectional track meet on Wednesday, May 21st. Senior Ayden Forbis placed 5th in the 800m with a time of 2:08.32. Ayden also placed 4th in the 1600m with a season’s best time of 4:57.97. Senior Ethan Land also placed in two events. 4th place in the 110H with a time of 17.65 and 6th place in the long jump with a jump of 5.70m. Sophomore JJ Proehl also scored for the Raiders in the 400m dash with a 4th place finish and a new personal best of 53.49. Freshman Leelin Danner also had a nice personal best in the discus throw with a toss of 28.54m. The boys 4 x 400m relay placed 7th overall. Running on that relay was Raisean Anderson, Ayden Forbis, Max Dierker, and Jaxson Robinson.
