Christmas Toy Drive

MCPS staff shared some food, some laughs, some life together before pouring into hours of curriculum development this afternoon. We take our half days seriously at Midwest Central and we needed nourishment and encouragement to and from each other to get it done!

Ms. Ranallo came into Miss Forsythe and Mrs. Trettin’s morning and afternoon classes to give them an “Egg”cellent demonstration. She explained to our children how we are all different shapes, colors and sizes, but we are all the same on the inside!

Miss Forsythe and Mrs. Trettin’s Pre-K classes did a magical science experiment! They learned that when you put a pencil through a bag, it will not leak and why.

Reminder - Tomorrow is a student attendance 1/2 day!
Dismissal times are PS - 11:40, MS - 11:20, and HS - 11:30.

What are you thankful for?
MCPS has a WHOLE WALL of Thankful Turkeys!!! We are blessed to have so many turkeys filling our halls for all the things we are thankful for.

Kindergarten has been busy talking about community helpers. We even had a special guest... Dr. Erika Hunter stopped by to talk to students about what she does as a doctor (THANK YOU Dr. Hunter). The students had a fun day in the “operating room” learning while having fun!

Check out these cool crafts Ms. Dorsey's class made for Veteran's Day!

The PBIS theme for November is "We are Thankful". This week, Ms. Gardiner's 5th grade ELA classes reflected on the all the things they have to be thankful for, both at home and at school.

Some MCPS students in Girl Scouts are serving the community outside of school hours by picking up garbage. High five girls!

Third and fourth grade celebrated Veterans Day today by listening and learning from two MWC alumni who are veterans! Thank you Mrs. Butler and Mr. Garman for your service and for spending time with us today!

“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.” - Harry S. Truman
Midwest Central would like to THANK YOU for your service! Today and every day we honor and appreciate you!

Reminder - There is a PTO meeting tonight at MCPS at 5:30 PM.

MCPS would like to expresses our sincere gratitude to the anonymous community member who donated this bike to one of our students. Our hearts were full this morning by this pleasant surprise and random act of kindness! Thank you!
