The 8th grade Lady Raiders played in barn burner against Pekin Edison in front of an exciting crowd winning 42- 38. Cally DeSutter lead the way scoring 18 points. Both Cally and Mia Warner hit huge free throws in the 4th quarter. Kara Lowry had a big night with 10 points. Kenzie Doty came off the bench and added 5 points. Jaylyn Diekhoff did a great job of passing and added 4 points to help with the win. It was a great day to be a Lady Raider.

MC/D 7th grade girls basketball extended their win streak to 10 in the first game of the Logan County Tournament beating Mt. Pulaski 32-24. Kenzie Doty lead the way with 14, Peyton Bernshausen had 6 and Charlie Green, Nora Jockisch and Julia Rasmussen all had 4 points. In the Championship game Saturday MC/D lost to an undefeated West Lincoln Broadwell team 48-25. Kenzie Doty had 11 points, Julia Rasmussen had 4, Peyton Bernshausen, Nora Dierker, Nora Jockisch, Kate Rollo and Lydia Fisher all had 2 points. GREAT JOB!!! We are #RaiderNationProud

You can drop off monetary donations now!! Join us on Tuesday, October 31, for the Village of Manito’s Trunk-or-Treat co-sponsored by the Midwest Central High School Interact Club and National Honor Society! Community members and businesses are invited to join in the fun! Choose a costume of your choice, decorate the trunk of your vehicle, line up along Harrison Street from 4:30-4:45 PM and hand out store-bought, wrapped candy to hundreds of goblins, ghouls, superheroes, princesses, and more from 5:00 – 7:00 PM! Recently the Snow Buddy program received a generous $1,000 donation from Randall Hendrickson, Manito Masonic Lodge #476. We can’t thank the Masonic Lodge enough for this wonderful act of kindness. It will help purchase gifts for Midwest Central students at Christmas.

7th grade Midwest Central/Delvan girls basketball ran their record to 7-0 with a 42-21 win over Illini Central last night in Easton. Kenzie Doty lead the balanced scoring with 18, Peyton Bernshausen added 11, Nora Jockisch made 2 3's for 6 points, Julia Rasmussen had 4, Nora Dierker made 2 free throws and Charlie Green made 1 free throw and played great defense. The 8th grade Midwest Central/Delavan girls basketball improved their record to 6-1 with a win against Illini Central 42-18. Kara Lowry hit 9 free throws and 2 bunny shots to lead the Lady Raiders. Cally DeSutter did a nice job distributing the ball to her teammates while adding 9 points. Mia Warner, Ava Warner, Jaylyn Diekhoff, Jakiya Ware-Jackson all added 4 points each.
