We have rescheduled our Midwest Central Preschool Screenings to help give more families the opportunity to sign up.
If you have a preschool-aged child, we encourage you to schedule a screening. This is an important first step in connecting families with our preschool program and helping us get to know our future students.

Due to a power outage at the Middle School, Midwest Central schools are closed today. An automated call was sent earlier this morning, but we wanted to share this as a reminder for our families.
Because of today’s cancellation, the last day of school will now be Friday, May 29 (pending no additional emergency days needed).
We hope everyone in Raider Nation is safe and that your families experienced minimal to no damage from last night’s storms. Please take care, and thank you for your understanding.

Wednesday, March 25 will now feature our Easter Dinner: Ham, Au Gratin Potatoes, Dinner Roll, and Vanilla Pudding with Oreo Crumbles
On Friday, March 27, we will serve our regular Friday menu options instead.

During second quarter, they collaborated to create a class animal research book, but this quarter each student had the opportunity to research an animal of their choice.
They did an amazing job not only reading their books aloud, but also teaching others fun and fascinating facts about their animals. The excitement and pride they showed in sharing their learning was incredible to see!
Way to go, Miss Nieuwkoop’s class — future scientists and authors in the making!

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America Week starting tomorrow at Midwest Central! It’s going to be a week full of books, fun, and school spirit as we celebrate the joy of reading together.
Here’s what families can look forward to:

• Spirit Week – Join in the fun with our themed dress-up days.
• Academic Night – Tuesday, 3/3/26 from 5:00–6:30 PM
Our Academic Night is designed especially for our K–5 students and families (Pre-K hosts its own special family night separately). We can’t wait to welcome our elementary families for an evening of learning, literacy, and fun!
Reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge, and adventure — and we’re excited to celebrate all week long. Get ready for a fantastic week, Raiders!
We invite all students to join in the excitement by participating in our themed dress-up days as we celebrate the joy of reading. Spirit Week is a great way to build excitement around books and show our school pride!
