The Raiders basketball team kicked off their season opener with the start of the Raiders own Tip- Off Classic on Saturday morning against Delavan! In 7th grade action, the boys battled hard in what was for most was their junior high debut, but clutch free throw shooting from the Panthers ultimately led to Raiders defeat at the hands of Delavan, 33 - 25. Blake Molitor led the 7th grade Raiders with 12 points. The Raiders look to rebound from Saturday's tough contest with a game against Hartem on Monday. In 8th grade action, a big fourth quarter from Brenden Carton helped the Raiders overcome a 7 point deficit to defeat the Panthers 32 - 29! The big man had 9 points on the day, with 7 of them coming in a monster fourth quarter to put the Raiders over the top! Malachi Carrol also had a huge game for the victors, leading the way with 12 big points in the winning effort! The win puts the Raiders at 1 - 0 as they look to continue to protect their home court with their second Tip - Off Classic game against Hartem on Monday!
