Thursday, 2/13…Precision Photo will be here to take group photos of Beta Club, Student Council, FCA officers, Scholastic Bowl and Band along with yearbook pictures of new students. We will be doing this right after the announcements on Thursday morning.
MCMS is producing The Beauty and The Beast Jr. this spring, sign ups are on the What’s Poppin Board. Auditions are 2/25 & 2/28, make sure to take a character sheet that is also located on the What’s Poppin Board to see what role you would like to audition for. Due to some scheduling conflicts and additional events (now that we have made state, there will be an assembly - TBD), the PBIS celebration will be moved to Tuesday 2/18 during Team Time instead of Thursday during TT.

For the second consecutive year, the Raiders basketball team is heading to the STATE TOURNAMENT! In a repeat of last year’s Sectional Championship, the Raiders downed Decatur Catholic 34-28 to capture the 2A Sectional Championship at Decatur St. Theresa! Raider Nation made the haul to Decatur and showed up LOUD AND PROUD! The game was tight from the opening tipoff, with both teams taking leads throughout the game until Jase Canada hit a go ahead 3 in the fourth to give the Raiders the lead 26-24. Two clutch free throws by Evan Schmidt after a big defensive stop.Canada finished the night with a game high 17 points including a perfect 4 for 4 from the charity stripe. Joe Proehl added 9 points. Jake Hunter hit a huge three pointer and 2 more rebounds as the Raiders won the game on the glass, out rebounding Decatur Catholic 21-17. The Raiders now will play in the Elite 8 this Saturday at Kankakee Bishop McNamara at 11:30! Congratulations to Coach Thompson and the boys on another sensational performance!
