The 7th grade Lady Raiders knew coming into this game that they were going to get their first true test of the season after outscoring their first five opponents 203-36. It was an exciting game from start to finish as neither team led by more than four points the entire way. Peyton led the Raiders with 11 points and 8 rebounds, while Kallie was huge in the paint adding a tough 6 points. Sophia and Zoey rounded out the scoring with four a piece! Peyton and Kallie each had a shot to win the game in regulation but came up just short as the Raiders fell to Broadmoor 29-25 in overtime. The 8th grade girls took the court next and they even though Broadmoor scored in the opening seconds of the game, the Raiders went on a 12-0 run to take the lead from there to eventually take a 12-6 lead into halftime. It was back and forth in the 3rd quarter but the Raiders shut the door in the 4th as they outscored the Bruins 13-2 in the final frame to take the home victory 29-12. Kenzie led the way with 15 points and 9 rebounds, while Charlie added 6 and Julia added 4. Nora J had the sticky hands of the night coming away with four steals! The Lady Raiders welcome Havana for a home game on Tuesday evening at 5:30!
Student Council is hosting a bonfire, next Friday, October 18th, 5:30-7:00pm
Pumpkin Decorating Contest pumpkins must be turned in October 24th and the winner will be announced October 30th.

FCA is having a party in the park for all middle school students on Wednesday October 16 starting at 6:00PM to 7:30PM at Veteran’s Park in Manito. It’s going to be put on by the High School FCA. The flyer is posted on the “What’s Poppin” Board
