History League Members! If you want a T-Shirt, bring $10 to Ms. Rousseau by Friday November 1st. If you are helping with the Veterans' Day Breakfast, please pick up a permission slip from Ms. Rousseau ASAP to confirm your role!
Students: moving forward, the library will no longer be a space to simply hangout during study hall. Students coming to the library on a pass must be working quietly.
Sewing Club will meet during 5A&B in the library.
Students will be allowed to dress up for Halloween according to the below guidelines:
All student dress code rules as listed on page 22 of the handbook, must be followed. Nothing covering the face; this includes masks and/or face paint. Hats are acceptable if they are part of the costume.
No props resembling any sort of weapon.
No fake blood on clothing and/or skin.
Any student who fails to follow these rules will be required to change into either PE clothes, extra clothes they may have, or something from the Raider Closet.
Student Council will be selling “Boo for you Boo”. You can buy them during your lunch hour.
FCCLA members helping with Halloween at the High School or the Trunk or Treat or please meet with Mrs. Palmer in Room 2 during 5B.
Midwest Central High School is hosting Manito's Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween! We are looking for volunteers to help decorate the school, assist with games and activities, and clean up. If you want to get involved, please sign up on the bulletin board next to room 18 or see Mrs. DeSutter, Ms. Sauder, or Mrs. Kerley. Help make this a FUN event for our community!
Red Ribbon Week is a week-long awareness campaign in the United States that aims to prevent drug and alcohol abuse, nicotine abuse, and violence. It takes place annually in October and is the country's largest and longest-running drug awareness and prevention program.
Please support our Red Ribbon campaign next week by participating in the following dress up days and activities offered at lunchtime:
Wednesday – Lazy Day – “Kick back, stay drug free & be the best me”
Thursday – Crazy Hair & Socks Day – “It would be crazy to do drugs”
Friday – Aliens vs. Cowboys – “Outrun Aliens, Outshoot Cowboys, Outwit Drugs”
The pep band is looking for new members and volunteers. Any student or alumni who has ever played a band instrument is eligible to join. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please see Mrs. Smith in the band room during 5A for more details
