Today’s lunch: Grilled BBQ Pork Chop Sandwich

  • Student Council will be having students guess how many pumpkins are in a jar. The winner will get to keep the jar and pumpkins! Come join us for the fun today, Wednesday and Thursday this week during your lunch!

  • There is a National Honor Society meeting during 5B in room 7 today.
  • Winter sports meeting Wednesday night at 7:00.  If you were in a fall sport, you only need to attend the coaches meeting following the AD meeting.
  • Mrs. Harbourn needs greeters and a few people to help with the raider closet during parent/teacher conferences Thursday. Please see Mrs. Harbourn for details. It will count towards community service hours

  • Student Council will be holding a coloring contest. 1st place will receive a candy bar and soda, 2nd place a candy bar, and 3rd place a soda. You can pick up the coloring page today through Thursday. All pages are due back Monday, 10/30. Winners will be announced on Halloween, come participate and make this fun!

  • Seniors – Josten’s will be back to take your graduation orders on Thursday, October 26th during lunch and study hall. Please make sure you turn in your order at this time. Extra order packets are available on the office ledge

  • History League will be going on a field trip to the Haunted Peoria Bus Tour on Saturday, October 28th. Only 12 spots are available and are going fast, so turn in the $18 ticket cost ASAP to claim your seat!
  • This week is Red Ribbon Week and we will be having dress up days and activities to promote awareness of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.  The dress up days will be as follows:

Wednesday – Team up with your Bestie against Drugs – Twin Day – dress alike

Thursday – Top Off Red Ribbon Week – wear a hat and wear red!

  • Don’t forget to enter the Two Sentence Scary Story Writing Contest in the library. Entries must be school appropriate, exactly two sentences, under 300 words, and submitted to Miss Shaffer by Friday, October 27. The winner be will be announced on Halloween and will win a $20 gift card to our new coffee shop in town, Roasted.
  • Students interested in a construction pathway field trip, see Mrs. Harbourn for details. This is an excellent trip!!!!!
