Welcome to Midwest Central Primary School

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Midwest Central Primary School.  We have many new things we are doing this year.  One of the things that we are doing is we have refined our Raider Way program.  We have initiated a more defined PBIS model for behavior to promote a more positive school.  Part of being a more positive school climate is the removal of the color clip chart system that we have used for a few years.  Research has shown that for many students it creates a reverse effect in their behavior.  We are modeling and reteaching the behaviors that we feel are necessary to have in our building.  If you would like additional information concerning PBIS, go to https://www.pbis.org/.

Letter from the Principal about COVID-19 VIRUS

(this letter is being sent home Friday March 13,2020)

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Midwest Central Primary School wants to assure you that we are taking all the precautions we can to keep our students safe and help prevent any illness due to the COVID-19 virus. For SECURITY and HEALTH Reasons, we are being proactive by limiting the possible outside exposure of the virus to our students. Starting Monday, March 16th, we will NO LONGER be allowing parents to walk their children to the gym, cafeteria or classrooms. We are asking all parents, which bring their children to school, to drop them off at the front door and allow our staff to escort them to their teachers. We realize this is a change from our current operations, but we appreciate your flexibility as we work to minimize the risk of exposure to our students. Thank you in advance for helping us accomplish this goal.

Sincerely,
Rodney Norris
Principal
